Noel O'Neill

Maverick Theatre Productions Inc is one of the most well-known performing arts theatre groups in Perth Western Australia. 

Founder, Noel O’Neil was born in Cork, Ireland and moved to New York in his late teens where he studied acting with both Lee Strasberg and Herbert Berghof. 


Noel gained his acting experience via the New York stage in productions such as: The Hostage, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Come Back Little Sheba, Little Moon of Alban and of Mice and Men. Crossing the globe, Noel has acted in the ABC documentary series Constructing Australia, which is based on the pipeline constructed in Western Australia by Irish engineer C.Y. O’Connor.

In addition to acting, Noel is also an award-winning playwright. To his credit are the following full length plays: Last Bus to Contrition, The Picture House, and Confetti from Graceland and several one act plays including: A Day in the Life, The Potato Eaters, Heaven’s Above and Holly & Ivy.
